Recent Car Vandalisms in Hightstown Unsolved

Vehicles parked on Rogers Avenue and North Main Street were damaged.

The Hightstown Police Department has reported a couple of car vandalisms throughout the Borough over the past few weeks with no leads onto who damaged the vehicles, or why.

A car parked in the driveway of a North Main Street home was damaged during the overnight hours between May 28 and May 29. At some point during this time someone trespassed onto the property and used an unknown object to smash the windshield of the vehicle, according to Hightstown police. Dents were also made to the roof of the car. The damage is estimated to cost approximately $1,000, according to police.

Another car was vandalized in the Borough on June 5, police said; the car was parked on Rogers Avenue. The owner of the vehicle told police that someone had etched the hood with large scratches that are approximately 16 inches in length.

Anyone with information on either of these car vandalisms can call the Hightstown Borough Police Department at 609-448-1234.
