2012 East Windsor Suggestion Box Contest

The township is looking for suggestions on how to increase the amount of recycling in the community by October 11

East Windsor Township Mayor Janice Mironov and the Township Clean Communities Committee are sponsoring their annual Suggestion Box Contest for all middle school students in grades 6, 7, and 8.

The Township asks, How to Increase the Amount of Recycling in Our Community.”

“We hope to receive some good productive ideas from our young people about an important subject in all of our communities, so as to help to better protect and preserve our environment,” Mironov said in a press release.

Written suggestions must be between 100 and 200 words.

First, second, and third place winners will receive gift certificates from Barnes and Noble in the amounts of $75, $50, and $25, respectively. The prizes were donated by corporate sponsor Shiseido America.

The suggestions should be left by October 11 at the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School Administrative Office or at the mayor’s office in the East Windsor Municipal Building.

Each contestant should write their name, address, phone number, school, and grade level on the back of their entry.

Winners will be notified sometime in the fall, and awards will be presented by Mironov at an upcoming Township Council meeting.
