Bridge, Ramp Repairs Begin in Mercer County

The $1.8 million project targets 25 bridges and ramps in the county.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will begin work this week on a $1.8 million project aimed at maintaining 25 bridges and ramps in Mercer County, nj.com reports.

The bridges and ramps are all along I-95 in Lawrence, Hopewell and Ewing, and in Hamilton along I-295, according to the report. 

Maintenance will include patching decks, repairing cracks and joints and the installation of a corrosion inhibitor, according to the report. Piers and supportive walls will also be targeted at certain locations.

There will be temporary, single lane closures, but only during overnight and peak hours, while any closing of shoulders will be in effect at any point during construction, according to the report.

The project is expected to be complete by next fall, according to the report.
