Cranbury Tax Rate Remains Flat

The approved budget has a zero cent tax increase for 2013.

The 2013 Cranbury Township budget was unanimously approved by the Council Monday night which has a zero cent tax increase.

The budget calls for a tax rate of 0.41, . The tax rate increased by two cents in 2011.

The 2013 total operating budget is $11,295,931.98, which has increased by over $473,129 due to a debt pay down, according to Cranbury Chief Financial Officer Denise Marabello.

The budget anticipates that about $5.8 million will be raised in taxes in 2013, which is under the levy cap by $124,156.

All of the same services offered by Cranbury Township will remain.
