East Windsor Lights Luminaries For Domestic Violence Cause

"Communities of Light" is meant to illuminate the township's care, concern and advocacy for victims of domestic abuse.

The East Windsor Municipal Building has been ringed with luminaries to signal the township's concern and advocacy for victims of domestic violence.

The "Communities of Light" display was set out on December 9 by township officials, police officer and members of the East Windsor Domestic Violence Response Team. The purpose is to raise funds and public awareness of domestic violence and services available to victims.  People who purchsed luminary kits at Fulton Bank set them around the perimeter of the Municipal Building at the ceremony.

"Regretfully, domestic violence is an issue which exists in communities throughout our state and across our nation, and it is important that abuse victims know there are available support and resources to assist them.”  Mayor Janice s. Mironov said. “We further recognize and express appreciation for the special and invaluable contributions of Womanspace in providing education and support for abuse victims and their families.”
