East Windsor Receives New Jersey Clean Communities Grant

East Windsor received a $39,492.37 Clean Communities Grant to help cleanup the township, according to a news release.

As part of the grant, Mayor Janice Mironov and the East Windsor Clean Communities Committee created the Adopt-A-Spot program that allows community groups and organizations to “adopt” an area to clean up throughout the year, the release said. A placard is placed at the site saying who cleaned it up.

“The program has involved hundreds of young people and been a tremendous success in instilling community awareness and pride, while helping to support the community activities and community service of these worthwhile youth groups,” Mironov said in the release.
