Eight Vie for Four Seats on East Windsor Council

An even mix of Democrats and Republicans have filed for the June primary.

Eight candidates have filed for the June primaries in East Windsor, with an even number from each party vying for the four seats that will be up for reelection this fall.

On the Democrats' side, Mayor Janice Mironov, Deputy Mayor Marc Lippman and Councilman Peter V. Yeager have all filed to run. Yeager was to the term formerly held by Walter T. Daniels, who after a DWI arrest in Hightstown. Daniels' seat, which is now Yeager's, is set to expire at the end of the year. John Zoller, another of the possible replacements for Daniels, has also filed to run.

Democrat Councilwoman Marsha Weinstein is not seeking reelection.

The Republican filers would all be newcomers to the council if elected. They are Thaddeus "TJ" Berdzik, Steve Commer, Robert Ertel and John Guarniere.

If no write-in votes are cast in the primaries, all eight candidates who filed will be up for election in the fall, when four four-year seats will be open on the Township Council.
