“The event allows residents to plan ahead and ensure that they have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the issues and their concerns with us,” Susan Bluth, said.  “While each of us has been out and about meeting with and talking to voters, Rob, Gail and I want to make it as convenient as possible for residents to meet the people who are seeking to represent them on Council.”

The Open House is an example of how the three candidates will work if elected to Council.  “Transparency and accountability are fundamental to our platform and part of that is providing residents with open forums to ask questions and discuss their concerns,” Gail Doran said.

“Saying you support improved transparency is just a meaningless campaign slogan if you don’t back it up with action,” Rob Thibault said. “The three of us are committed to providing these opportunities as part of our campaign and will continue to do so if elected.”

Bluth, Thibault and Doran are running on a shared platform of FACTS:

  • Fairness for residents;
  • Accountability for Borough employees and elected officials;
  • Cooperation between and among Council members, the public, and borough employees;
  • Transparency for Borough and Council operations;
  • Shared services as a means to reduce the tax burden on residents while improving Borough services.
