4 Candidates Vie for 2 Hightstown Council Seats

Two Republicans and two Democrats filed to run in the Hightstown primary in June.

Hightstown Councilwomen Lynne Woods and Selena Bibens have filed for the June Primary on the Republican ticket. Woods and Bibens’ three-year-terms end in December 2013 and they are running to retain their two seats on the Borough Council that are up for grabs this year.

The Republican incumbents are being challenged by Democrats Denise Hansen and Hightstown Planning Board Chairman Steven Misiura. Hansen ran in last year’s election as a Republican alongside George Serrano, both of whom lost against incumbents Lawrence Quattrone and Gail Doran.

The primary election is scheduled for June 4.
