My name is Selena Bibens and I have been a resident of the Boro for over 10 years. I am an active Volunteer in the community as well as Mom to Ashley, Melissa, Gina & Vincent and I have been married to my best friend and biggest supporter George Bibens for almost 18 years. I am a very approachable person. I ALWAYS try to make sure that anyone who has concerns good or bad is addressed. If not by me then by the person or persons who we have available in the "BORO" with the expertise and experience in the subject manner. It is very easy for me to build a rapport with an individual. My decisions/choices are always made with logic and due process. As a current sitting Council member with a lengthily list of RESULTS/ACCOMPLISHMENTS! I confidently ask for your support and Vote on Tuesday November 5th,2013.If re-elected I will do the best I possibly can over the next 3 years to "finish what I started and continue to keep Hightstown & its residents number 1 as I have proven in the past.

2. What do you think distinguishes you from other candidates? What do you bring to the table?

I am most definitely an OUT OF THE BOX Thinker. I gather the facts from the community and there ideas/concerns help me to make the best choice/decision possible. 3 active years experience as a sitting Council member as well as numerous years as an active Volunteer in the community.

3. What are the most pressing issues facing the community today? How would you approach and resolve these issues?

The Borough Hall & Contract Negotiations in 2014 for the Hightstown Police Dept. 1. Actively working on the Boro hall since Irene devastated our community.Insurance meetings, dialogue amongst council & community. It is a slow process, however I am confident that with the hard work that has already been done, we are getting closer to the goal. 2. I know how hard I ran in 2010 to "keep the HPD from OUTSOURCING" and was VICTORIOUS! A tremendous amount  of research and "man hours" went into truly investigating what  was best for the residents and the Officers of the Boro. In the 11th our in October 2010 the Council at that time Voted to NOT move forward with the contract for OUTSOURCING.I now just need to make sure we  as a council negotiate fairly and productively for ALL involved. Both the Hightstown Police Department & The Residents of Hightstown Borough.
