Christie Once Celebrated When A Bridge Stayed Open—For His Graduation

Governor was pleased when a bridge opening eased traffic for his 1984 graduation from the University of Delaware.

Media outlets have dug up an old article from Gov. Chris Christie’s University of Delaware days in which he expressed gratitude over a bridge opening that would ease traffic problems during the University of Delaware’s 1984 graduation ceremonies.

Christie was was the president of the Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress at the time. Salon called the news story, produced by the Talking Points Memo website, the "most ironic student newspaper story of 2014," given that some members of the governor's staff did what they could to nearly shut down the George Washington Bridge during last year's gubernatorial election.

So much for those that say college doesn't prepare one for their future.

We get it, Christie is a blowhard jerk who probably had some involvement in this fiasco. However the coverage is getting tedious and most people are tuning out.

The coverage by the so called “objective” lame stream Media does seem excessive when compared to the past 100 or so Obama scandals which they shrug off, but being that as it may I say “Democrats! Keep up the witch hunt!” I believe they are sensationalizing this for two reasons, and ironically both political ones at that. First, they are upset because blarney, shenanigans, chicanery, hi jinx, and Tom foolery are usually Democrat traits and they don’t like being emulated. Second, Christie is the only Republican who is shown to beat Hillary Rotten Clinton if they were to run today. You all remember Mrs. Clintion, right? The woman who asked “What difference does it make…?” that four Americans under her watch (and she was the top man in the State Department) including a US Ambassador were killed in Benghazi, Libya. Really? What was it that they used to say? “Hillary lied, 4 Americans died?” or something along those lines. Bottom line, I doubt anything points directly at Christie himself but if the Democrats are not successful in digging anything up, I can see the presidential campaign ads now. CHRISTIE IS STRONGER THAN THE STORMS. Things like this are like a two edged sword and cut both ways.

Look, as popular as Christie was then, even Romney had the political smarts not to pick him as a running mate because of all the “skeletons.” While the outrageous GWB debacle caught national attention and started the investigative process, so much more about Christie’s illegal abuse of power will be revealed. So be patient and stay tuned! Stay classy Gov. Numbnuts!
