Paul Completes Background Check, Awaits Results

The Department of Education extended the deadline to Jan. 27.

Board of Education Vice President Kennedy Paul went for his criminal background check and is able to participate next meeting.

East Windsor Regional School District Superintendent Edward Forsthoffer said Paul went for fingerprinting last Friday, but the results were not back yet. Forsthoffer said although Paul recused himself from last week’s Board of Education meeting, he could participate in the Jan. 23 meeting given the extension from the state.

“I certainly don’t think it was the legislatures intent to disrupt boards or to have good board members sent away, but coupled with that the board members had an obligation to get it done,” Forsthoffer said. “He was a little bit late as were about 350 others, so I’m glad they extended the final deadline so we can put this to bed.”
