East Windsor Regional and Cranbury School Boards Will See Contests in Spring

Hightstown is the only local town whose seats are uncontested.

Nine people, three of them newcomers, have filed to run in this spring's school elections. The deadline to file was 4 p.m. today, Tuesday.

In the East Windsor Regional School District, Board of Education President Alice Weisman will face off against newcomer Lisa Abel for the one open spot to represent East Windsor Township. Incumbents Suzann Fallon and Susan Lloyd were the only two people to file for the two open Hightstown seats. Terms are for three years.

In Cranbury, five people filed for three open seats on the board. Newcomers Pramod Chivate and Ashutosh "Ash" Hadap will join incumbents Kevin Fox, Jennifer Cooke and Evelyn Spann in the race.
