Township Starting Final Brush Collection

Residents reminded to have all brush to be collected at the curb tomorrow

After all the downed trees caused by Hurricane Sandy and the ensuing snowstorm the township is finishing the first round of brush and debris collection.

According to the township's website residents who still have brush to be collected should have their items moved to the curb no later than Dec. 16.

Having already done one sweep of the township this will be the second and final time brush will be collected until the spring. "Anyone with brush out after that date may be subject to Code Enforcement," the announcement said.

The crews that came through have done an amazing job. We were so impressed, my wife made brownies for them.

JMU... I'm very thankful .... You missed the point. I don't care about the brush just sitting there! But having Howell say they did a first round of cleanup in our area when they never did and then say they will issue fines if after the second clean up is crazy.... They need to do the first one in this area! Once again.... Some over paid person in Howell not doing their job or overseeing the people that our taxed are paying to do the job we hired them to do the first time.

Same here where I live on Johnny Drive. No debris was ever picked up during the first so called clean sweep.
