Turnpike Exit 8 Transportation Study Presentation Scheduled

East Windsor is hosting the study at the senior center Tuesday night.

East Windsor will host a presentation of preliminary findings in connection with the township's New Jersey Turnpike Exit 8 Transportation and Development Study.

The presentation, led by consultant Taylor Design Group, will take place on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the East Windsor Senior Center, 40 Lanning Boulevard.

The planning initiative, funded by a $100,000 Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) Transportation and Community Development Initiative grant, was undertaken to review the impacts to circulation and development for the surrounding area of the relocated and expanded East Windsor Exit 8 Interchange of the New Jersey Turnpike, according to a press release by the township.

"The goal of the study is to best position East Windsor to take advantage of the land use opportunities created by the Turnpike improvements," Mayor Janice S. Mironov said. "The findings of this study will assist the Township with identifying effective approaches to attracting high value, high quality business growth in this area. The Township also will use information obtained from this study to assist in possible land use regulation changes and in discussions with potential stakeholders."
