Updated: (Unofficial Results) Democrats Appear to Win Council Seats Across the Board

In East Windsor, Cranbury and Hightstown, the unofficial election results are in.

With unofficial election results in, it appears Democrats won council seats in East Windsor and Hightstown, and a Township Committee seat in Cranbury.

In East Windsor, incumbents Mayor Janice Mironov, Marc Lippman and Peter Yeager, and newcomer John Zoller, appear to have won the four-year Township Council seats. The total unofficial count, including absentee ballots, is:

Janice Mironov (D)  3032 Marc Lippman (D)  2682 Peter Yeager (D)  2658 John Zoller (D)  2634 Steven Commer (R)   1479 Robert Ertel (R)   1597 John Guarniere (R)   1611 Thaddeus "TJ" Berdzik (R)   1540

Hightstown's unofficial results also show Democrats coming out on top with newcomers Susan Bluth and Robert Thibault winning the three-year seat, and Gail Doran winning the one-year seat. Results are close, and absentee ballots have not yet been counted. The total unofficial count at this time is:

Susan Bluth (D)   488 Robert Thibault (D)   530 John Archer (R)  447 Skye Gilmartin (R)   446 Gail Doran (D)   487 George Serrano (R)   470

In Cranbury, the unofficial totals include absentee ballots, but numbers have not yet been certified by the county clerk. Democrat Susan Goetz appears to have won over Republican Karen Callahan. The total unofficial count at this time is:
