East Windsor School District Recognizes Local Donors

A number of residents and business owners donated their time and resources to help out the district.

East Windsor Regional School District Board of Education recognized individuals and businesses for their generous donations to the district at their Monday night meeting.

The FIRST Robotics Team of Hightstown High School received donations which will help cover their expenses and competition fees. Vladimir St. Phard and Alexis Swart of Customized Benefit Solutions, Inc. of Hightstown, supported the club this year with a monetary donation. The Mid-Atlantic Robotics and the staff of the Grace N. Rogers School also donated in memory of former Robotics Team member Riley Branstrom, who was killed by an NJ Transit train in May.

One of the major events of the school year is the Hightstown High School orientation and picnic lunch for the incoming 9th graders.  Before schools starts, the students come to the high school, receive a copy of their schedule, learn the layout of the school and where their classes are located, and then a barbeque lunch is provided and prizes are handed out.

These donors have helped support this event with their donations of food items, beverages, gift certificates, door prizes, plants, beauty supplies, appliances, backpacks, school supplies, lanyards, or made monetary donations:
