"Visions in Stone" viewing for seniors (RSVP by 1/14)

The Senior Fellowship, a nondenominational social group for those over 55, invites Cranbury seniors to view the DVD “Visions in Stone.” The fellowship meets once a month for social interaction, fun and food and provides rides for those who don’t drive.

“Visions in Stone” was made by the U.S. Navy and the Maturango Museum and features stunning rock art videography.  These petroglyphs, drawn by ancient native peoples of North America, were discovered by the Navy during World War II on their bombing range in the Coso Mountain Range, on the western edge of the California's Mojave Desert.  Theories of the how, the when and the why for the petroglyphs are explored in interviews with archaeologists and others who study rock art. This program is presented and will be introduced by artist, Milt Liebson, PhD., who was a professor at the New School in New York City and also at Mercer County College in West Windsor. Dr. Milt has exhibited large sculptures in metal, wood and stone worldwide and his work is exhibited in various museums.

If you would like to attend this program, preregister by 2 p.m. Friday by calling the church office at 609-395-0897 or e-mailing firstpresoffice@comcast.net. Leave your phone number so you can be notified if harsh weather postpones the program.
