Four Candidates File for East Windsor Board of Education Election

Four candidates, including two incumbents, are running for three open seats on the East Windsor Regional School District Board of Education.

Voters will decide between four candidates for three open seats on the East Windsor Regional School District Board of Education in the November election. 

The seats of current members Kennedy Paul, Paul Connolly and Bruce Ettman are up for election.

Both Paul and Connolly filed for re-election, according to the Mercer County Clerk's Office. Lilia Gobaira and Alice Weisman, a former Board of Education president, will challenge them.

Terms for board of education members are for three years, and newly elected members will begin their terms in January.

Elections will be held Nov. 6, following the board's decision t, in line with the general election.

According to the New Jersey School Boards Association, 468 school districts from throughout the state, representing more than 85 percent of the state's elected school boards, voted to move school board elections to Nov. 6.

"Serving on a school board is a challenging and rewarding form of public service,” John Bulina, NJSBA president, said in a press release. “It certainly is one way to make a profound impact on your community.”
