The competition will be hosted by Hightstown High School's FIRST Robotics Team Mercury on Feb. 2.

Hightstown High School's FIRST Robotics Team Mercury is hosting an annual FIRST Tech Challenge competition on Feb. 2 entitled the Snow Day Showdown. The competition will take place in the gym of the high school and matches will begin at 11 a.m.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 for the purpose of inspiring young people to participate in science and technology. The FIRST team at Hightstown High School works as a small business and students work long hours to construct a functioning robot.

All are invited to attend the competition and all matches will be completed before kick off begins for the Super Bowl! There will also be concessions available for purchase.
