Larissa Druding Honored as East Windsor Teacher of the Year
Kreps teacher recognized at Board of Ed meeting.
language arts teacher Larissa Druding was recognized as the East Windsor School District Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013 year at the March 26 Board of Education meeting.
Druding, who teacher sixth grade, began in the district in September 2002 and has been in education for 12 years, according to a news release. She belongs to several professional associations, and is active in staff development and leadership activities.
Druding has served as a grade level coordinator and as a mentor to novice teachers. Druding has also served as a teacher liaison for PTO, the release said. Most recently, she has become an integral part of the Local Professional Development Committee.
Druding said that one of the several key factors that influenced her decision to go into education were the role models she had as a student, specifically her teachers and professors in elementary school through college.

“They made learning fun and challenging," she said in the news release. "These educators pushed me and motivated me to do my best and become a better person in the process. I realized that I wanted to be able to motivate students to learn and to grow as they did for me; this is where the seed to becoming a teacher started.”
