PAL Thunder 9U All-Stars Softball Team Wins Championship

The team played undefeated in the four tournament games.

The East Windsor PAL Thunder 9U All-Stars softball team took home the win in the championship game held Saturday, going undefeated in all four games of the tournament.

During the final championship game, the girls beat Robbinsville Blue 13-1. Earlier in the week they beat Robbinsville Gold, Bordentown Gold and Robbinsville Blue in the double-elimination tournament.

“The girls played nearly error-free ball in the final game, and every player on the team hit the ball very well,” Manager Rob Bridgman said in an email.

Last summer most of the girls on the current team played on the team that came out on top of the District 12 8U championship game, Bridgman said.

“So far, they are following in the footsteps of their ‘big sisters,’ the East Windsor 12U team that won the 8U and 9U tournaments in 2007 and 2008 on their way to wining the 10 U and 12U State Championships in 2009 and 2011,” he said.
