Time to Rise to the Challenge
East Windsor Patch, Rise and ShopRite are partnering to collect food for Rise. Stop by and help.
OK, East Windsor and Hightstown, it's time to help Patch and Rise stuff the truck.
goes above and beyond in helping the Hightstown and East Windsor community, by feeding and clothing the hungry and offering other services to those in need.
This is why we are joining Rise to raise awareness of the causes of poverty and the impact it has on the community. Representatives from Patch and Rise will be at ShopRite of East Windsor on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with an empty truck donated to the cause by ShopRite. Our goal is to fill it by the end of the day Sunday.

That's where our readers and site users come in. Stop by with a donation, meet the editors and volunteers from Rise and grab some Patch swag.
The following items are needed:

- Peanut butter and jelly
- Beans and soup
- Cereal
- Pasta and sauces
- Thanksgiving items such as stuffing and sweet potatoes
Monetary donations will also be accepted. All proceeds and donations will benefit Rise.
