Here is a look at what is going on in East Windsor, Hightstown, and Cranbury this week.

Government

East Windsor

There are no government meetings this week in East Windsor Township. 

Hightstown

The Hightstown Borough Council is meeting at the First Aid Building at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The borough is introducing an ordinance authorizing a leas agreement with Hights Realty, LLC to lease 415 Mercer Street. For a full look at the meeting agenda, click here

Cranbury

  • The Cranbury Board of Health is meeting in Gourgaud Gallery at 7 p.m. on Monday. The old business they will be discussing include the cat and dog census, pet survey, and feral cats. 
  • The Historic Preservation Commission meeting, scheduled for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., has been cancelled. 
  • The Cranbury Senior Center is holding a “Raising Backyard Chickens” program on Friday. This program will take place in the Cranbury Municipal Building. 

Schools

East Windsor Regional School District 

  • Ethel McKnight Elementary School is holding their Winter Concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. 
  • Walter C. Black Elementary School is holding their Winter Choir and Band Concert at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. 
  • Hightstown High School is holding their Red Cross Club holiday Party in the high school cafeteria at 6 p.m. on Thursday. 

Cranbury School District 

  • The Cranbury School Board of Education is meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. There will be a Princeton High School Program Overview Presentation at the meeting. 
  • The Cranbury School students in grades sixth through eight will be having a Holiday Dance on Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

College for Adults Program

The Twin Rivers Library in East Windsor is holding a free program about adults thinking about going to college or going back to college. Sponsored by the Adult Education Advocates, the program will cover how to get credit for work, how to find the right college or program, how to fill out a financial aid form, and what it takes to write a personal statement. This program will take place at the Twin Rivers Library at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The program is intended for adults only, and not high school students. Registration is required, so please call 609-443-1880 to register. 

Cranbury Tree Lighting 

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Memorial Park is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday. The tree lighting is sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Cranbury. Caroling led by Dorothy Klotzbeacher and the Presbyterian Brass Ensemble will play at the old Cranbury firehouse.
