Nadja Eisenbrey died Friday, May 17, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 66. She resided in East Brunswick for many years before recently moving to Cranbury. She was a former Communicant of Sts. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church in South River. Eisenbrey was predeceased by her husband, James, in 1987. Surviving are 3 sons: Mark and his wife Debra of Cranbury, Andrew and his wife Terry of Helmetta and Daniel and his wife Amanda of Monmouth Junction; 2 brothers: Alex and Walter Griatszky, both of Richman, ME; a sister Luba Leonov of St. Petersburg, FL and 6 grandchildren: Crystal, Amanda, Zachary, Savannah, Dustin and Destany. Edwin M. Alston, 62, of Hamilton Square, passed away on Monday at home. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. A graduate of Trenton High School, class of 1969, he retired after 30 years of service as a sergeant from the Hightstown Police Department. Edwin was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed playing shuffleboard, fishing and was an avid singer. Son of the late Thomas C. Alston Sr. and Helen Williams, brother of the late Anna Steinberg, he is survived by five children, Robin Guarino, Rebecca McKay, Eric Alston, Jerry Alston and Erin Alston; six grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua, Isabella, Harper, Amber and Alexandria; and best friend, Mark Lidke. Services for a Hightstown teenager whose body was found on the train tracks near Princeton Junction take place Friday, May 17, according to an obituary posted on Saul Funeral Homes’ website. Riley Branstrom, 18, was discovered last Friday morning after he was reported missing on Monday. He had last been seen near Hightstown High School at around 2:30 p.m. He didn’t answer phone calls, but his phone was tracked to Monmouth Battlefield State Park in Freehold. Deborah "Debby" Allen, 65, of Cranbury died at her home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Born in Trenton, she grew up in Chesterfield before moving to Cranbury where she had resided for the past 35 years. Debby was previously employed for 25 years as a finance director with Clearbrook in Monroe Township. She was predeceased by her father, Michael Yuzwa, and by her step-father, Bernard Krzywulak. The funeral for Carlos Rafael Tinizhanay-Arias, the East Windsor man who died last week after suffering a fatal stab wound, will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hightstown. The wake will be held at St. Anthony’s on Friday, April 26 between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Arias will be buried in Fresh Ponds Cemetery in South Brunswick; arrangements have been made by the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home in Hightstown.

Salvatore A. Restivo, 92, of Cranbury died at his home on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Born in New York City, Salvatore lived in East Brunswick before moving to Cranbury. Salvatore was a veteran of World War II where he was a radio mechanic for the 47th Fighter Squadron. He was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery in combat during the Battle of Iwo Jima, he was also awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze star, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. James F. Boynton of East Windsor, N.J., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Samaritan In-patient Hospice in Mt. Holly, N.J. He was 82.
