Rush Holt, Eric Beck Spar in Debate at Rider University

Incumbent U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-Hopewell Township) and his opponent Republican Eric Beck of South Brunswick are competing for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District. The election will be held Nov. 6.

By Erika Sosa, Rider University   In the heated race for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District, incumbent U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-Hopewell Township) and his opponent Republican Eric Beck of South Brunswick took part in a debate last week at Rider University during which they discussed their views about the country’s finances, federal support to America’s cities, school vouchers, and other topics. America is in extreme debt that continues to get worse and Republicans are to blame, according to Holt. “The unhealthiest part of this situation is how we got to this so-called fiscal cliff,” Holt stated. “A year-and-a-half ago, the Republican leadership in Congress refused to pay our debts, for the first time in American history. Letter: Independent Candidate for 12th Congressional District

Kenneth J. Cody (Truth Vision Hope - Independent Candidate CD-12)

Now is the time to end politics as usual and stop the reckless spending that goes with it. My name is Kenneth J. Cody and I am an independent candidate in New Jersey's 12th Congressional district. The outrageous amount of money used in campaigning needs to come to an end. In 2010, House candidates raised over one billion dollars to be spent from contributions. All candidates need to focus on the issues instead of fundraising. Think of what could have been done with a fraction of the one billion dollars raised in 2010. That funding could have gone to educational programs, …

Cody is the choice. Holt's record on crime leaves alot to be desired. He's raised over 1.5 million for his campaign. Cody is strong on crime and wants money out of Washington. Today I cast my vote for Kenneth Cody   more ›

South Brunswick Businessman to Challenge Holt for Congressional Seat

Republican Eric Beck, who will oppose U.S. Rep. Rush Holt in the race for the 12th Congressional District, believes smaller government and a flat tax are crucial to an economic turnaround.

Citing a need to improve unemployment by ending governmental mismanagement of the economy, South Brunswick resident Eric Beck announced a bid earlier this year to challenge U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-12) for the U.S. Congress in New Jersey’s 12th District. Beck, a small business owner and entrepreneur from Dayton, started Risk Masters in 2009 as a risk management consulting firm specializing in business continuity management. Beck also holds an MBA from Rutgers University Business School. He said Rep. Holt is out of touch with voters and lacks the business understanding to stimulate job creation. "My opponent has spent his entire career in academia and has never been in a position to run a business, create jobs, and deliver a product to a …

Anna R. Please look into Rush Holt's record. Among other things, he was on a select bipartisan commission [Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA), Congressman John Campbell (R-CA), Congressman Rush Holt (D-NJ), Congressman Walter Jones (R-NC), Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-WI), and Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) on planning and appropriations. Rush Holt can -- and does -- work with both Democrats and …   more ›
