What started as a simple sidewalk sale has become the town's greatest annual celebration
Residents and neighbors enjoyed a variety of activities, vendors, and performances during Cranbury Day 2012 Saturday, sponsored by the Cranbury Professional and Business Association. “What began decades ago as a sidewalk sale offered by local merchants has turned into annual celebration, not to be missed,” said Cranbury Day 2012 Publicity Volunteer Susan Paterson. “It's the one time of year that residents and visitors can run for charity, meet and greet our local government, shop and eat, support volunteer organizations, listen to great music, and say goodbye to another summer.” The town kicked off the day with a one-mile Fun Run/Walk and the Fourth Annual Helene Cody Cranbury 5K Run/Walk. 5K Runners were divided into 14 age categories, …

The school worked with the Historic Preservation Commission on exterior renovations.
In time for Cranbury Day and the start of classes, Princeton Ballet School will reopen after undergoing renovations, including updating the building’s façade, according to the school. The interior of the studio has not changed, however the front has been remodeled with input from the Historic Preservation Commission, the school said in a news release. Affiliated with American Repertory Ballet, the dance school has two studios at the Cranbury location. “Because our property is located in the Historic District of Cranbury Township, we worked closely with the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) in the design process to be sure the style, materials and finishing touches protected and enhanced the historic qualities of the town,” American …

Residents and members of the local community attended the annual Cranbury Day Saturday. Local shops and vendors set up tables, antique cars lined the streets, kids enjoyed pony rides and had their face painted and a band played.
