East Windsor police arrested several people for being in possession of drugs in the Township.
The East Windsor Police Department has reported a variety of drug arrests within the Township. ------------------------------- Two adults and one juvenile were arrested and each charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams on Wednesday, March 20. Detective Ryan Mattek saw a 1997 Pontiac traveling at a high speed on Madison Drive, continuing onto Twin Rivers Drive North, turn into the parking lot of Drew School and park on the basketball court, police said. Area police reported three drug-related arrests over the past week. East Windsor Police said they responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Etra Road near Philyet Drive at 6:25 p.m. and found one of the drivers, Avila, smelled of alcohol and marijuana and had slurred speech. Police said they arrested him after field sobriety tests and that they found a bag of marijuana in his vehicle. Hightstown Police said that at 2:58 p.m. they saw him conduct a drug transaction as a result of a drug sting East Windsor Police said they responded to a report of a southbound 2010 Nissan speeding on Lake Drive at 12:46 a.m., stopped Luzzi on Milford Road near the Conair building, and smelled burnt marijuana in the vehicle. Police said one arrest came through a narcotics search warrant.
East Windsor Police said they executed a narcotics search warrant at Cannon’s Bennington Drive residence at 3:15 p.m. and found about 1 pound of marijuana and $975 cash. Bennington was released on 10 percent of $5,000 bail. Hightstown Police said they saw him at 2:34 p.m. while on foot patrol on North Main Street and discovered he had a $2,5000 Trenton Municipal Court warrant. Police said they took Reddington into custody and found a hypodermic needle in the front pocket of his pants which he tried to remove and move down in his pants during the search.
