Frontier Launches Service to Five New Cities April 8

The new routes include Atlanta, Chicago-Midway, Columbus, Detroit, and Raleigh/Durham.

  Beginning today, April 8, Frontier Airlines has launched new service routes in and out of Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing.  The new routes include Atlanta, Chicago-Midway, Columbus, Detroit, and Raleigh/Durham. This is in addition to Frontier’s previously announced nonstop service to Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, and New Orleans. “We are excited to be offering low-fare nonstop service from Princeton/Trenton to ten great destinations,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial. “Customers who fly from Trenton-Mercer Airport can enjoy using a small airport with easy access to I-95 as well as the great value offered at FlyFrontier.com.” Following is the schedule for Frontier’s new Trenton service.  …

Frontier Adds More Non-Stop Routes from Trenton-Mercer Airport

Frontier Airlines Announces Additional Passenger Routes to Florida, New Orleans from Trenton-Mercer

The low-fare airline, which today (Nov. 16) begins flying between Trenton-Mercer Airport and Orlando, Fla., on Thursday announced that early next year it would also begin flying from Mercer County to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Tampa Bay, and New Orleans

Frontier Airlines – whose new passenger service from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Orlando, Fla., begins today (Nov. 16) – yesterday announced that it will begin flying from the Mercer County airport to four additional destinations early next year. Beginning on either Jan. 31 or Feb. 1 the Denver-based airline will offer nonstop, low-fare service from Trenton-Mercer to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Fort Myers, Fla.; Tampa Bay, Fla.; and New Orleans, La. The airline also announced that it would be basing an Airbus A319 aircraft at Trenton-Mercer to operate the expanded service. Non-stop Flights from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Orlando to Start

A special ticket price will be offered through Aug. 11.

Nonstop flights to Orlando from Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing will start Nov. 16 on Frontier Airlines, according to the county executive. Tickets will be available through Aug. 11 for as low as $69 to celebrate the new flight, according to a news release.  The flight will be on an 138-seat plane that includes television service, stretch seating and other flight options.  “This is an exciting development for our region,” Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes said in the release. “More than any other destination, residents of Mercer County have made it clear to me that Orlando tops their list, and I am so pleased that we are able to deliver.” Frontier serves about 80 U.S. cities in addition to Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and…

That is a great, big deal. Mercer County Airport's roots are steeped in history. GM's Eastern Aircraft Division shipped Grumman Avenger torpedo bombers from their factory just across Parkway Avenue during World War II. Would that additional flights be made possible from this gem of a regional airport.   more ›
