Bicycles Stolen from Hightstown Front Yard

A list of police reports that took place during the week of April 11 - April 17.

The following report is based on information released by Hightstown Borough police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. ------------------------------- On April 13 at 2:18 a.m. on Mercer Street, officers arrested William Graham, a 51 year-old man of Etra Road, Hightstown, and charged him with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane. While on patrol, officers observed the subject drive over the double center line on several occasions and effectuated a motor vehicle stop for the infraction. Upon stopping the subject, the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and had the driver perform field sobriety tests.  The subject failed the tests and …

Editor’s Note: The following information was released by Hightstown Borough Police. *   *   * Driving While Intoxicated Manjal Yagnik, 26, of Leshin Lane, Hightstown, was arrested on Mercer Street about 12:50 a.m. on Feb. 16 and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, and speeding. Police said Yagnik’s vehicle was stopped for allegedly traveling 47 mph in a 25-mph speed zone. Upon approaching Yagnik’s vehicle, an officer “detected a strong odor of an alcohol beverage and had the driver perform field sobriety tests, which he failed,” police said. Yagnik was taken into custody and, according to police, submitted breath samples that resulted in a blood alcohol reading of 0.10 …

Hightstown Police: One Arrested While Taking Relative Into Custody

The following information was provided by Hightstown Borough Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driving While Intoxicated Felix Paredes, 33, of New Brunswick, was arrested on Stockton Street at about 12:10 a.m. Dec. 20 and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lamps. Police said Paredes was stopped for driving with no tail lights. During the traffic stop, a police officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and had the driver perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said. Paredes was subsequently taken into custody and later released with pending court action. *   *   * Theft Between 11:56 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 20, someone stole a delivered package from a residence in the 100 block of South Street.
