April 6: Womanspace Awareness Program at the Twin Rivers Library from 1:30-3:30pm. Registration is required. April 9: Curriculum Fair at HHS from 6-8 p.m. April 11: NHS Induction Ceremony at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. April 13: ACT Testing at HHS. Hightstown HS Students and Staff Recognized for Creating New Orientation Video

Two high school students starred in a new orientation students for incoming freshmen.

Every year in January, students and their families are invited to eighth grade curriculum night, an evening showcasing the curricular and extracurricular offerings of Hightstown High School.   The event was created years ago as a way to ease incoming ninth graders’ anxiety and generate interest about coming to high school. One piece of the show has always been dedicated to a video, highlighting the curricular offerings. After playing the same narrated video for several years, the administration at the high school decided to update the production. Hightstown High School's 'Guys and Dolls' is a Sure Bet

The musical will be performed at Hightstown High School this weekend.

Take a trip back in time to 1940's New York this weekend as Hightstown High School presents "Guys and Dolls". Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The musical is about chorus girls, gamblers, and save-a-soul mission dolls in a post-World War II New York City. Main Characters While Nathan Detroit is trying to avoid marrying Adelaide, he bets his friend Sky Masterson that he cannot take Sarah Brown, a mission doll, to Havana. The musical unfolds as the audience watches the mission dolls attempting to reform the chorus girls and gamblers. The entire cast, crew, and orchestra is made up of 90 students all under the direction of Catherine …

The HHS athlete signed her letter of intent last week.

Dorothy Von Ahnen to Play Field Hockey for Rider

Dorothy Von Ahnen will continue her athletic career playing field hockey for Rider University.

Hightstown High School senior Dorothy Von Ahnen as one of many athletes across the country last week that officially committed to playing college sports. Dorothy officially signed to play field hockey at Rider University next year. Congratulations Dorothy!

East Windsor BOE Commends Hightstown HS Newspaper Staff

The Hightstown High School newspaper staff and advisors were recognized for their hard work.

The Hightstown High School 2011-2012 Ram Page staff and their advisors Ms. Elizabeth Dunn and Ms. Kate Featherston were officially recognized by the East Windsor Regional School District Board of Education on Monday, Feb. 11.  The Ram Page, which is Hightstown High School’s newspaper, won first place in Overall Excellence in Division B at the Garden State Scholastic Press Association Fall Conference at Rutgers on Dec. 17. This category is judged through an analysis and critique of three issues of the paper; divisions are determined by the population of schools, with A being largest schools, C being smallest schools. “It is obvious that student journalists on the Ram Page are passionate about the responsibility and privilege to serve the …

Girls Basketball Team Looks to County Tournament

The girls have a big week ahead!

The Hightstown High School Lady Rams haven’t played since Feb. 5, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a lot to look forward to. The girls varsity basketball team is scheduled to play Nottingham on Thursday, Feb. 14 and then will face of against Trenton Catholic Academy on Saturday at noon, according to Athletic Director Gary Bushelli. If you haven’t come out to show your Rams’ spirit, then now is the perfect time to support your classmates!

Boys to Face Hamilton in County Tournament

It's time to show your Rams spirit!

After dropping a close decision to Florence last week, the Boys Varsity Basketball Team will look to rebound tonight vs. Hamilton in the annual Mercer County Tournament at Hamilton High School, according to Athletic Director Gary Bushelli. If you haven’t come out to show your Rams’ spirit, then now is the perfect time to support your classmates!
