Local election winners offered words of thanks to their constituencies in East Windsor, Hightstown, and Cranbury
David Cook, Cranbury Township Mayor I would like to thank all the residents of Cranbury for their generosity and support. It would be impossible to be a competent steward of Cranbury without the input from its residents. By being elected for another three years we, the current Township Committee, will be able to see through a number of large projects and capital improvements. These projects include the Dam and Bridge revitalization, Downtown Beautification Program and new infrastructure such as sanitary services. Thank you again Cranbury for putting your trust in Jay and myself for another three years. James (Jay) M. Taylor, Cranbury Township Committeeman I want to express my dear thanks and appreciation to the voters in Cranbury for their…

To the Editor, We urge Cranbury citizens to vote to re-elect Dave Cook and Jay Taylor for Cranbury Township Committee on November 6, 2012 at Town Hall. Before explaining why, we applaud all four candidates–Tom Connolly, Dave Cook, Cynthia Smithers and Jay Taylor–for taking the time and effort to run for the Township Committee. That commitment is the essence of our democracy and gives voters a choice in this election. We believe Jay and Dave are the best candidates because they have the experience and a proven track record that demonstrate their ability to handle complex problems such as the upcoming Supreme Court decision that will define our Mt. Laurel housing obligations. They have also shown their commitment to preserve farmland and …

Dear Editor, When it comes to Cranbury, I often hear people say, "I don't vote for political parties, I vote for Cranbury.” In this year's election, we have the opportunity to match these words with actions. From his service on the Historic Preservation Society to the Cranbury Presbyterian Nursery School board to the Fire Department, Jay has carried on a noble tradition of giving back to the community. Jay is dedicated to keeping Cranbury special–as it was when he was raised here–and in the future as he and Kristin raise their daughter here. By any measure, Jay Taylor has done an excellent job as Township Committeeman. He worked to keep taxes low by cutting spending by more …
