Christie Nominates Freeholder Director Christopher Rafano to NJ Superior Court

Rafano is one of two Middlesex County men who have been picked by Gov. Chris Christie for NJ Superior Court slots.

Christopher D. Rafano, who serves in the Woodbridge Municipal Court as a prosecutor and in Middlesex County as the Freeholder Director, has been nominated by Gov. Chris Christie on Monday to the New Jersey Superior Court, according to a press release from the governor's office. Rafano, a Democrat who has law offices in South River, also holds a prosecutor position in Jamesburg. He's been on the Board of Freeholders since 1998. Christie also nominated a Republican candidate to the Superior Court. J.
