Hightstown Police Increase Patrols During Holidays

The holiday season is upon us, and that means joy and merriment–and increased crime.

If the Home Alone movies taught us anything–apart from how to booby trap one’s home–it’s that burgalars and robbers sure like to ruin the holidays. To prevent and deter criminal activity during the upcoming holiday season, Hightstown Police Director James Le Tellier said the Hightstown Police Department will increase both directed and foot patrols during peak hours in the downtown area beginning Thanksgiving. According to a press release from Le Tellier, police will be on the lookout for shoplifters and suspicious persons loitering by parked cars or in parking lots. Police will patrol all parking lots to ensure they are safe for shoppers, diners, employees, business owners, and residents, he said. These lots include Main Street Lot, …

Is this about protection or if we only have a few Business people in Hightstown they aren't entitled to protection. If you want more Business downtown then speak to your Business association.
