Second East Windsor Apartment Burglarized While Resident Asleep

East Windsor Township police are investigating the similarities between burglaries that occurred at different apartments in the Windsor Regency complex while residents of those units were sleeping in their beds on Jan. 2 and Dec. 27.

 East Windsor Township police are investigating a second incident in which an apartment at the Windsor Regency complex was burglarized while its occupants were asleep. The most-recent incident was reported to police at 2:57 a.m. on Jan. 2. The resident advised police that he was sleeping in his Windsor Regency apartment when he was awakened by a sound in his bedroom.  “He observed an unknown male in his room, who fled upon being discovered.  The complainant described the suspect only as wearing a black North Face jacket and black wool cap.” Police determined that the suspect had entered the apartment by way of an unsecured rear door. East Windsor Police Blotter: Couple Wakes Up to Find Burglar in Their Bedroom

The following arrest information was supplied by the police department of East Windsor Township. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary Police responded to the Windsor Regency Apartment complex after a couple called 911 at 12:46 a.m. on Dec. 27 to report that someone had burglarized their apartment while they were sleeping. The female resident told police she woke up to observe a stranger in her bedroom. She roused her boyfriend, who said he awoke just as the burglar – described only as a “male with a red jacket” – fled the bedroom and exited the apartment by way of a rear sliding door. Hightstown Police: One Arrested While Taking Relative Into Custody

The following information was provided by Hightstown Borough Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driving While Intoxicated Felix Paredes, 33, of New Brunswick, was arrested on Stockton Street at about 12:10 a.m. Dec. 20 and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lamps. Police said Paredes was stopped for driving with no tail lights. During the traffic stop, a police officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and had the driver perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said. Paredes was subsequently taken into custody and later released with pending court action. *   *   * Theft Between 11:56 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 20, someone stole a delivered package from a residence in the 100 block of South Street. East Windsor Blotter: Drunken Driving, Robbery, and Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the police department of East Windsor Township. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driving While Intoxicated Charge for Holmdel Man Vibhay Bhatnagar, 62, of Holmdel, NJ, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane on Dec. 16 after police reportedly observed him driving west on Route 33 in an erratic manner. Patrol Officer Matthew Flynn stopped Bhatnagar’s vehicle at 1:33 a.m. and found him to have an odor of an alcoholic beverage, police said. His eyes were reportedly bloodshot and watery, and Bhatnagar was given field sobriety tests.  He was arrested for DWI and later released pending court action.   Robbery at Target Cecilio Ortiz, 59, of The Orchard, was arrested for robbery and shoplifting at the East Windsor Target on Dec. 19. East Windsor Blotter: Theft, Burglary, and Drunken Driving

The following arrest information was supplied by the police department of East Windsor Township. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft at CVS Pharmacy Laurie Van Deusen, 43, of Dennison Drive, was caught shoplifting at CVS Pharmacy on Abbington Drive on Dec. 12 at 1:33 p.m., according to police. Police said they responded to the store after receiving a report that Van Deusen had left the store after she realized that she was being watched and subsequently discarded the items in the store restroom.  Store personnel provided police with a description of the suspect and her vehicle, and Van Deusen was located on Dennison Drive and arrested, police said. She was later released to Manalapan Police Department on an outstanding warrant pending court action.    Auto Theft at Princeton Arms West Ali Rahin, 21, of Plainsboro, was arrested on Dec. 14 for stealing a vehicle …

With this news and few more recent ones, it is just right to be more vigilant, especially with theft and burglary. I remember once at the dealership, the store staff managed to apprehend and catch a person who was trying to pose as a friend of one of the valued clients. Hightstown Police Blotter: Theft, Drunken Driving, and Suspicious Person

The following information was provided by the Hightstown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driving While Suspended Jeffrey Boyer, 49, of Somers Point, NJ, was arrested on Dec. 6 at 11:38 p.m. on East Ward Street for with driving while suspended, driving while suspended in a school zone, reckless driving, and careless driving.  Officer observed the driver operating the vehicle in an erratic manner and subsequently stopped the vehicle. The driver had signs of intoxication, was given field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. The driver was later released to a friend with pending court action.   Tire and Rim Theft at Mill Run West On Dec. 7 at 4:30 a.m., police responded to Mill Run West on a report of theft.  All four tires and rims were stolen from the parked vehicle of a Mill Run West …

East Windsor Police Blotter: Weapons Offenses, Theft, and Drugs

Weapons Offenses against Middle School Students Four Melvin H. Kreps Middle School students reported being shot by paintballs as they walked to school through the Princeton Arms apartments at 8:18 a.m. on Nov. 28, police said.  According to police, investigation revealed the juvenile responsible for shooting at students from an open window in his apartment.  The 13-year-old male of Princeton Arms West was arrested by Detective James Vandegrift for weapons offenses and aggravated assault and turned over to his parent pending court action.  None of the victims reported any injury.    Criminal Mischief at Princeton Arms North A woman parked in the Princeton Arms North parking lot reported that her vehicle was scratched with a sharp object at …

Hightstown Police Blotter: Warrant Arrests and Drug Charges

The following information was provided by the Hightstown Police Department.

Warrant Arrest for East Windsor Man Bryan Langere, 20, of Jamestown Road, East Windsor, was charged with contempt of court on Nov. 30 at 3:36 p.m. at the East Windsor Township Police Department. Police said Langere was arrested on a warrant issued by the Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $1000.  He was released upon posting bail with pending court action.   Warrant Arrest in Hightstown John Feldhaus, Jr., 19, of Edison Drive, East Windsor, was charged with contempt of court on Nov. 30 at 8:31 p.m. at the Hightstown Borough Police Department. According to police, Feldhaus, Jr. turned himself in on a warrant issued by the Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $500.  He was later released on bail with pending …

Hightstown Police Blotter: Warrant Arrests and Drunken Driving

  Warrant Arrest Police arrested Amina Jackson, 37, on Nov. 14 at 3:19 p.m. on Franklin Street and charged her with contempt of court. Jackson, of Cream Ridge, NJ, was stopped for a motor vehicle infraction and was found to have an active warrant issued by Clementon Municipal Court in the amount of $391, police said. Jackson was released upon posting bail.   DWIs For East Windsor Woman East Windsor resident Anna Yablon, 40, faces drunken driving charges after she was arrested on Nov. 18  at 1:56 a.m. on Franklin Street. Yablon was stopped for a motor vehicle infraction, police said, and the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.   Drug Charges For Two Trentonians Police arrested two Trenton residents for possession of marijuana on Nov. 14 at 10:19 a.m. Patrol Officer Thomas Meyer observed a gray Dodge traveling northbound on Route 130 with illegally tinted windows, police said. While speaking with the driver, Anyelin Cabrera, 25, Meyer reportedly smelled the odor of marijuana from within the vehicle and observed a partially smoked marijuana cigarette inside the vehicle.  Cabrera and the other occupant of the vehicle, Edwin Cruz, 25, were arrested for possession of marijuana. Cabrera was additionally charged for tinted windows, uninsured, driving while suspended, and drugs in a motor vehicle.   Theft at TJ Maxx Police responded to the TJ Maxx store at 5:45 p.m. on …
