East Windsor School Board Recognizes Elementary Science Fair Participants
Elementary students throughout the district had the chance to compete.
The East Windsor Regional Board of Education recognized 48 students who participated in the first elementary science fair at its Monday meeting. Students in grades three through five from the Grace N. Rogers, Walter C. Black, Ethel McKnight and Perry L. Drew schools participated in the fair and winners at the district level were chosen to move on to compete in the Mercer County Science and Engineering Fair. The young scientists covered a wide range of subjects in their projects. Some of them included an underwater volcano, a project showing the effect of salt on snow and ice, one entitled “veggie power,” a kinetic friction project and one that discussed a strawberry’s DNA.
