Services for William H. Schwartz will be held on Monday and Tuesday.
William H. Schwartz, Jr., 67, died Sunday, Jan. 6, at the Elms of Cranbury. Born in Jersey City, he moved to Wood-Ridge in 1951, and had resided in East Windsor for the past 28 years. He attended Wood-Ridge High School, where he was an all-star basketball player in 1963 and held the school’s scoring record of 48 points in the state tournament game. His record held for 50 years. His contributions to the basketball team led to their status as Group I Runner Up Champions, and he was elected to the Wood-Ridge High School Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
