Man Charged After Nearly Head On Route 33 Crash
The collision sent four to the hospital.
Police say a 53-year-old Colts Neck man was intoxicated when he slammed into another car while driving the wrong way on Route 33 near Twin Rivers Saturday night. Bruno Savo was driving westbound in the eastbound lane on Route 33 when he collided nearly head on with another vehicle carrying three people around 8 p.m., East Windsor police said. He had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol, and was transported to CentraState Hospital for a laceration on his head, police said. The three people in the other vehicle were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. The driver had hip pain, the front passenger had leg and facial injuries and the rear passenger had abdominal and clavicle injuries, police said. Savo was charged with …
