East Windsor Township and Womanspace team up to raise money for domestic violence awareness on Dec. 10

Womanspace and East Windsor Township are teaming up once again to commemorate Communities of Light Day, which is aimed at raising money for domestic violence awareness and victim services. East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov presented a proclamation during Monday night’s township council meeting to Womanspace Executive Director Patricia Hart and Rita Teubner, charter member of the East Windsor Township Domestic Violence Victims Response Team. The proclamation declares December 10, 2012 as Communities of Light Day. “Communities of Light is an opportunity for us to shine a light, literally and figuratively, on an issue that is all too quiet sometimes,” Hart said.
