The Monmouth County Grand Jury indicted Michael Scholander on terroristic threats and possession of an imitation firearm in Freehold.
East Windsor resident Michael Scholander, 42, was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury this week for allegedly threatening the lives of several individuals in Freehold Township on Dec. 6 of last year. Scholander was arrested after reportedly attempting to kidnap his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint; he threatened her and threatened to kill her ex-husband if she did not cooperate, according to police. The attempted kidnapping occured at the Freehold Raceway Mall. Police located Scholander's vehicle in Lawrence Township and a car chase began which ultimately concluded on Route 130 in East Windsor. Charges stem from incidents in Howell in November
Andrea E. Christo, 35, of Cranbury was indicted by a Monmouth County Grand Jury on two counts for an incident that occurred in Howell in November. Christo faces one count of third degree uttering a forged instrument for using a forged prescription blank at the Future Pharmacy. Christo also faces one count of third degree attempted obtaining of a controlled dangerous substance by fraud for trying to get oxycodone on Nov. 25, 2012 by "forgery, deception or subterfuge." Also from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office: Christopher R. Skerstad, 28, of West 3rd Street was indicted on one count of third degree theft by deception and one count of fourth degree failure to register with Division of Consumer Affairs. The East Windsor man who led several police departments in a chase Friday faces additional charges after he pointed a gun at his ex-girlfriend and others
The 42-year old East Windsor man involved in a police pursuit Friday was issued a warrant for his arrest by Freehold Township Municipal Court after he allegedly attempted to kidnap his ex-girlfriend and threatened her, and others, with a gun. Michael Scholander of Dennison Drive, East Windsor, faces seven charges in Freehold and is being held in Monmouth County jail on $170,000 bail. According to the complaint warrant, Scholander is alleged to have ordered his ex-girlfriend to get into his car by pointing a pistol at her, and threated to kill her ex-husband if she did not cooperate, which led to him being charged for criminal attempt and terroristic threats.
