ReplyC'mon Joe, what do you think? They have to pay for all those toys that the teachers on break drive up and down the beach.I have seen less beach traffic in Daytona Beach. Mark my word, a sunbather will be run down this year by a beach vehicle. Its like Baywatch, except with Bennies.

ReplyPerhaps they wont close it after all. My bet is they spend millions on a complete renovation. And then, like the old Broadway school, they move more administrators in. I can just picture a nice marble bathroom.

ReplyThanks Chris, I am sure you know that I was kidding. I find it reprehensible that we are naming schools after highly paid administrators. It is not like they were volunteers. He could be a great man, who helped a lot of kids. But it is still wrong to name schools after public employees. How about one thing named after Sam Mills?

ReplyCan we now wake up and see that both parties are robbing us blind? Granted, the Dems are worse, but they both have their hands in our pockets. Vote in the Primaries, and vote for the guy who isnt the Party pick.

ReplyI guess we do have to hire out for this work. I saw our men out working today down by the beach, and it wasnt awe inspiring. Big front end loader, big dumptruck, and 6 guys, all lifting one of those garbage cans we have on the beachfront. I watched for a half hour and couldnt believe how little they get done. Too bad we couldnt hire the illegals to the work, it would get done quick.

ReplyUnfortunately, we will never know what really went on. Just like the kid that was taped up in the bathroom. The schools take our money by the bushel full, as well as the states, yet there is no accountability. Its a private club, with marble bathrooms. Free healthcare, great pensions, top pay, plenty of days off, and hiring all your buddies. If only LB taxpayers would wake up and say enough! Its not for the kids, its for the select few members of this exclusive club.

Hey Chris, lets do some real investigative reporting and find out how much the City took in last year on beach revenue. And then a list of where the money was spent. I saw them shuttling the money to the office all day long. It was stacked up to the ceiling of the trailer by Pier Village.
