On the article Drop Off Donations in Colts Neck for Tornado Victims

ReplyIt's my understanding that Oklahoma officials have requested that no trucks or truckloads of supplies be sent for the tornado victims. They don't have the resources to store or sort the donations and they may go to waste. While they appreciate the generosity, they would prefer cash donated through various charities such as the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross.

ReplyI heard that when Sanford was a Congressman the first time he voted to throw Clinton out for lying about his "affair" with Monica L. I guess the same rules don't apply to him. For those wung nuts who voted for Sanford, hang your collective heads in shame. The rest of you Carolinians, I really feel sorry for you.

On the article Christie Underwent Weight Loss Surgery In February

Any of the weight loss surgeries available (and there are several) involve quite a bit of risk including death. The best surgeons are those who have performed many of these procedures. Since these procedures are relativley speaking, new (less than 25 years) the number of surgeons who have this type of experience are small. In fact, Medicare will only approve those procedures done at Centers of Excellence. So it doesn't surprise me at all that the Governor went to NYC for the surgery. It is his choice, isn't it?

No mention of price ranges though. How about giving your readers a clue? Exclusive and rare means very expensive to me.

I'm a home owner Charlie and I wasn't so stupid as to buy a house near the shore like you. I even have flood insurance although I'm not near the water. The difference between Carol, me vs. you as that we plan. And just because I'm a home owner it doesn't mean that I have no compassion for those who are also struggling with rent. Most renters are decent people who try hard to maintain their apartments and pay their rent on time. If you must worry that a renter is 5 days late with his rent than you shouldn't own income property.

Charlie, your attitude reflects why so many people hate landlords. Go ahead and raise the rent and see what type of renter you will find. High rent=highly demanding renters.

Would you allow your 12-year-old daughter to be under the influence of this "man?" One of the biggest jobs of parents is to protect their kids from harm. This is not an isolated, "somebody said something" about Rice. He's has a track record of maniacal behavior.

Monmouth County may have more child care options but the overwhelming majority are unaffordable, especially to people of average means. That does not say too much for day care .
