At Rise we have a wonderful couple that help us each and every week:
Gail and Tony Zelenak
“Basically they do whatever we ask” said Julia Badulescu Rise Food Pantry Coordinator.

Rise to the TASK community dinner.
Gail and Tony work every Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday morning in the Rise Food Pantry. They use their van to pick up items from around New Jersey. Most recently they picked up chocolate from a food bank in Somerset, New Jersey.
Gail and Tony also volunteer at the Greater Goods Thrift Store. Gail is on the steering committee and helps to organize and sort at the store and comes in on Saturdays to give the store manager a much needed lunch hour. Tony also helps and uses his carpentry skills to build racks and most recently a ramp to get items in and out of the store.
Also, Gail and Tony can be found every Thursday night giving out hot meals at the First Baptist Church for the Rise to the TASK hot meal program. Gail organizes volunteers, picks up fresh baked goods, and gathers books and coats to give to clients. Tony livens up the dinner with hours of piano playing. He plays by ear, no music to the delight of everyone present.
