Steve Welzer, of East Windsor, is currently the Green Party candidate for State Assembly in the 14th Legislative District. He has been a Green movement activist for almost twenty years.

He was a founding member of the Green Party of New Jersey (GPNJ) in 1997. He currently serves as GPNJ's Treasurer.

Steve is a co-editor of the journal Green Horizon. He is also pursuing a project to establish the first ecovillage in the state of New Jersey.
