Art Display & Reception

Kathleen
S. Catanese  will exhibit more than 20 of

her pastel and oil paintings, as well as works on paper, in a one-person 
show November  4  through December 27, 2013 at

the Mercer County Library's Hickory Corner Branch located  at 138 Hickory Corner Rd in East Windsor. A
free reception open to the general public will be held at the library on Thursday,
November 21 from 7 to 8:30 pm. Ms. Catanese was awarded "Best in Show" for Paint Out at Princeton’s  Communiversity Day in April 2013 The painting depicts a view from the green on Palmer Square towards the Ann Taylor store with sunlit trees, tents and shoppers.Now retired, Ms. Catanese is deeply involved in art organizations in Mercer County including artists at the Robbinsville Senior Center, The Plein Air Club in Lawrenceville and Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. 

One of the keys to Kathleen’s success is education. She taught art for thirty-four years in NJ public schools, including Mercer County, and loves teaching. Ms. Catanese graduated from The College of New Jersey, and then went on to pursue further studies.
